SchermNed leads the way in replacing harmonic insect netting

SchermNed leads the way in replacing harmonic insect netting

Twenty years after the first installations of harmonic netting, a new phase has begun. SchermNed is among the first to focus on replacing these systems, with projects at companies such as Holland Plant and FortaPlant.

In 2005, SchermNed installed one of the first harmonic netting systems in the Netherlands at Holland Plant and FortaPlant. At the time, insect netting provided the answer to stricter regulations and changing conditions in greenhouse horticulture. Those first systems have performed reliably for many years. Based on our hands-on experience, we now recognize exactly when a system reaches its limits and needs replacement. During replacement, we remeasure frames and seams with precision. Even small measurement differences can lead to tension and wear over time. That is why we determine all dimensions again, as the foundation for a tight and reliable installation. The new harmonic netting is installed with the utmost precision. Depending on the project, we supply the netting with on-site supervision or handle the entire process with our own installation team. This ensures that insect netting continues to perform exactly as it should in this next phase.
