SchermNed has carried out numerous special projects in recent years. From sizeable new-build projects and renovations in the horticultural sector, to unique customized solutions for the garden center and non-residential construction sectors.

Thanet Earth implements 3,000 SchermNed insectnetting filtersystems in existing greenhouse.

The British grower Thanet Earth, a collaboration between Fresca and A&A Growers, installed over 3,000 insectnetting filters in the first quarter of this year. The greenhouse company, founded in the United Kingdom by several Dutch growers, selected SchermNed’s insectnetting filtersystem.

Project Holland Plant & FortaPlant: Replacing Harmonic Netting in Practice

Twenty years after the first installations of harmonic insectnetting, a new phase is emerging. While these systems have performed reliably for many years, we now see that replacement is becoming increasingly relevant. Many of these installations have reached the end of their technical lifespan, and we are among the first to actively carry out replacement projects at growers such as Holland Plant and FortaPlant.

Installation of windbreak- and Insect netting at Vlaming Zaadteelt

A custom-made solution for full insect protection without compromising ventilation or climate. For this project, a total of eight greenhouse sections were equipped with insect netting. The installation consists of four sections fitted with our own insect netting filter system and four sections with fixed netting. It quickly became clear that this would be a project full of interesting technical challenges.

New Innovative Project in Progress at Wijnen Amaryllis Innovation

We are currently installing screen systems at two locations for Wijnen Amaryllis Innovation, each with a different starting point but one shared ambition: a future-proof and energy-efficient greenhouse climate aligned with the transition to sustainable heating.
