Expanding screen installations

Options

If you wish to expand your existing screen installations, there are many options. This depends on a customer's wishes and the structural condition of the greenhouse. The most common expansions are with assimilation screens, energy screens and shade screens. A number of variations are, of course, possible.

  • Assimilation screens

Legislation requires that greenhouses have zero light emissions. Screens that prevent light emissions keep assimilation light inside.

  • Energy screens

Placing a second screen beneath the existing screen will improve the insulation of the greenhouse. This saves energy and contributes to a better climate. This benefits the environment and results in substantial cost savings.

  • Shade screens

The installation of a summer cloth ensures that the air can pass through it, but it softens sunlight intensity to ensure an optimum climate.

Our methodology

  • We start with an on-site visit to decide what is and isn't possible (structurally and in accordance with legislation).
  • If there is insufficient space, we will come up with a solution using the same wire bed. If the structure of the greenhouse isn't suitable, we will consider what can be done to make this suitable.
  • We provide a comprehensive quotation and calculation and discuss this during a personal meeting. Subsidies are often available to help towards the costs and can sometimes cover 25% of the price.
  • In principle, we always install in between the plants, they therefore do not have to be removed.
